Love it but hard to really put much stock in recruiting one way or the other right now since things might look completely different by December depending on how this season goes.

We probably paid him 25k to commit for a few months. Pittman needs some good press right now.

whelp, we got our punter...
LINK /
Rush, a five-star prospect and the fifth-ranked punter in the country according to Kohl's Kicking, chose the Hogs over a scholarship offer from Western Kentucky as well as opportunities from Army and Air Force.
"I am extremely thankful and excited to announce I will be continuing my academic and athletic career, at The University of Arkansas," Rush wrote. "I would like to thank my coaches, friends, mentors, and especially my family for their unconditional support. A huge thank you to Dawson Zimmerman and Mike McCabe for developing me these past few years.

That would be wild. It was an out of the blue commit, maybe just really wants to play day one is my hope.

Like that recruit from Mississippi last year that committed and decommitted a few months before signing day. Ole Miss I guess offered more NIL money. I expect Georgia if they want this recruit bad enough to offer more NIL money and get him to commit to them.
This is why I don't pay to attention to high recruiting as NIL and the portal ruined it.

Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback Nigel Pringle has committed to Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks for the recruiting class of 2025. Pringle, 6-2, 178, went public with his decision at approximately 5 p.m. Monday, choosing the Hogs over Kansas, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon and others.Pringle, who was recruited to Fayetteville by defensive backs coaches Deron Wilson and Marcus Woodson, is the Razorbacks' 17th verbal pledge for the Class of 2025. The defensive back told HawgSports that it was his official visit on The Hill on June 14 that swayed him to the SEC.
"What stood out to me was how there wasn't separation among anybody, like the offensive staff's correlation to the defensive staff, everybody was on one accord," Pringle said. "It was like I already had a family established and I wasn't even there yet. That made me look at the school a lot different and I had a bigger image about it.
"When I met the players. That was probably the quickest I've ever talked to people. When I talked to the players, you would have thought I had already known those guys. They were great people, real humble dudes. I loved the place already."
Pringle is the second defensive back to commit to Wilson and Woodson in this cycle, as safety Taijh Overton of Mobile (Ala.) Williamson has been committed since April 25.
"Those guys are some great people," Pringle said of the coaches. "They are for sure some great people."
According to 247Sports, Pringle is a three-star prospect, the No. 93 athlete in the nation, and the No. 166 overall prospect in the state of Texas. The Composite rankings have him listed similarly, as the 91st athlete in the country and the 179th player in Texas.
With the addition of Pringle, Arkansas' class moves from 35th to 31st nationally while staying put at 12th in the SEC.
Arkansas' 16 other commitments in the 2025 class includes eight on the offensive side in three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, three-star running back Markeylin Batton of Atlanta (Texas), three-star wide receiver Kamare Williams of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Central, three-star wide receiver Antonio Jordan of Warren (Ark.), three-star offensive lineman Connor Howes of St. Could (Fla.), three-star offensive lineman Kash Courtney of Carthage (Texas), and three-star offensive lineman Blake Cherry of Owasso (Okla.).
The Razorbacks also have seven defensive commitments in four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace of Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County, three-star linebacker Jayden Shelton of Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff, three-star defensive end Keiundre Johnson of Terrell (Texas), three-star defensive tackle JaQuentin Madison of Alpharetta (Ga.), three-star defensive end Trent Sellers, three-star defensive lineman Caleb Bell of Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton, and three-star safety Taijh Overton of Mobile (Ala.) Williamson.
There's one specialist committed, as well, in Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

Another athlete has jumped on board for the Arkansas Razorbacks 2025 class, as Houston-area athlete Nigel Pringle committed to the Hogs on Monday.Pringle took an official visit to Arkansas the weekend of June 14, and also took visits to Kansas and Louisiana Tech.
The Houston native chose the Hogs over offers from Arizona, Kansas, Oregon, Houston and UCF.
Pringle plays cornerback for North Shore High School and works with the special teams unit as well. According to MaxPreps, he intercepted three passes and made 13 tackles as a junior. One of those passes was returned for a touchdown.
With Pringle's commitment, Arkansas now sits at 17 in the class of 2025, which includes four others from the state of Texas. He is the second defensive back in the class, joining three-star Taijh Overton.
Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman said at SEC Media Days on July 18 he'd like to have 20 recruits out of the high school ranks every year, which means there's still three scholarships left.
quote:
Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback Nigel Pringle announced his commitment to Arkansas on Monday. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Pringle strongly considered Kansas among others. He becomes commit No. 17 for head coach Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks in this 2025 class.
“The coaching staff man,” Pringle said of why he pledged to the Razorbacks. “Everything about them. Talking to the whole coaching staff from offense to defense they made me feel like I was there already. “
On3 ranks Pringle as the No. 90 cornerback in the country. He had three interceptions as a junior and took his official to Fayetteville the weekend of June 14.
“I had a connection with the players already,” Pringle said. “I still talk to them to this day ever since I went up there.
“It just felt like home from the start from the jump. As I got there I felt more comfortable there than anything. I didn’t feel like I was on a visit anymore. I felt I was already there.
“I feel like I fit in there. I’ll play there. I like the community there.”
Coach Deron Wilson and Coach Marcus Woodson led the charge in recruiting Pringle to Arkansas.
“I see what those guys are trying to build,” Pringle said. “As I went through their defensive scheme saw how those guys operate I felt I’d fit in there.”

Arkansas gained its 18th verbal commitment for the 2025 football recruiting class on Friday when Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve interior offensive lineman Lionel "LJ" Prudhomme went public with his college decision.Prudhomme, 6-3, 295, chose the Razorbacks over two other finalists in Ole Miss and Mississippi State and other scholarship offers from Missouri, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Houston, Tulane and others. He was recruited to Fayetteville by offensive line coach Eric Mateos, who now holds four offensive line commitments for the Class of 2025.
Prudhomme made an unofficial trip to Arkansas in early March before returning for an official visit on the weekend of June 7. He took an official visit to Texas Tech the following week.
According to 247Sports, Prudhomme is a three-star prospect, the 43rd interior offensive lineman in the nation and the 26th overall recruit in Louisiana for the Class of 2025. He's rated far lower according to the industry-generated Composite rankings, which have him 74th among interior offensive linemen and 33rd in Louisiana.
Here's the scouting report on Prudhomme from our own Gabe Brooks:
"Strong, thick-trunked offensive lineman with valuable two-way experience," Brooks wrote. "Seems to play with an edge to him. Too strong at the point of attack for most high school defenders to affect him. Plays high at times but keeps feet fairly active upon engagement and can overwhelm defenders even if hand placement and leverage aren't ideal. Got some pop in his hands in pass protection. Extensive right tackle snaps that show comfort on an island vs. smaller, quicker edges. Pretty quick first step as a defensive lineman, enabling sneaky penetrating ability. Sometimes initiates with shoulder pads, on both sides of the LOS, and can get better use of extension and punch power. Projects to the P4 level as a tone-setting run-game presence with enough functional athleticism to hold his own vs. pass rushers."
Arkansas has 17 other commitments in the 2025 class, three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, three-star running back Markeylin Batton of Atlanta (Texas), three-star wide receiver Antonio Jordan, three-star wide receiver Kamare Williams of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Central, three-star offensive lineman Connor Howes of St. Could (Fla.), three-star offensive lineman Kash Courtney of Carthage (Texas), and three-star offensive lineman Blake Cherry of Owasso (Okla.).
The Razorbacks also have defensive commitments from four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace of Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County, three-star linebacker Jayden Shelton of Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff, three-star defensive end Keiundre Johnson of Terrell (Texas), three-star defensive tackle JaQuentin Madison of Alpharetta (Ga.), three-star defensive end Trent Sellers of Mobile (Ala.) Faith Academy, three-star defensive lineman Caleb Bell of Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton, three-star cornerback Nigel Pringle of Houston (Texas) North Shore, and three-star safety Taijh Overton of Mobile (Ala.) Williamson.
There's one specialist committed, as well, in Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.
Arkansas entered Friday with the nation's No. 31 overall class and the No. 12 class in the SEC for the 2025 cycle.
quote:
The Arkansas football team deepened its 2025 class on Friday, as head coach Sam Pittman dipped into Louisiana and received a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Lionel Prudhomme Jr.Prudhomme made his decision over a month after visiting Fayetteville on June 7, and he announced his commitment live on Instagram.
"My relationship with the coaches from Arkansas is great," Prudhomme told Rivals. "Coach (Sam) Pittman and Coach (Eric) Mateos are always texting and calling me and just checking up on me."
Arkansas was one of six finalists for the Shreveport native, as it beat out Mississippi State, Tulane, Houston, Texas Tech and Ole Miss for the prospect.
Prudhomme was ultimately down to Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arkansas. He was reportedly most interested in Arkansas and Mississippi State, making it a decision between first-year Razorbacks’ offensive line coach Eric Mateos and former Hogs’ offensive line coach Cody Kennedy, who is now with the Bulldogs.
If Prudhomme signs his National Letter of Intent in December, he will become just the fifth recruit from the state of Louisiana to join the Arkansas program during Pittman’s tenure with the Razorbacks.
Prudhomme is the 17th commitment in Arkansas' 2025 recruiting class. He joins Connor Howes, Blake Cherry and Kash Courtney (all three-stars) as committed offensive linemen.

Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve three-star interior offensive lineman Lionel Prudhomme committed to Arkansas on Friday, choosing the Razorbacks over Mississippi State, Tulane Houston, Texas Tech and Ole Miss.Prudhomme is the nation’s No. 1,242 overall prospect, No. 117 interior offensive lineman and No. 36 recruit from Louisiana in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He is the 18th recruit to join Sam Pittman’s 2025 class which ranks just outside of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings top 25.
Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County top-100 four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace headlines the group, having committed to Arkansas earlier this month. North Little Rock (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian four-star quarterback Grayson Wilson represents the other blue-chip commit for the Razorbacks.
In-state commits also include Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Magnet three-star athlete Quentin Murphy and Warren (Ark.) three-star wide receiver Antonio Jordan.

Arkansas kept its commitment train going on Saturday with a key verbal pledge from Madison (Miss.) Hartfield Academy defensive lineman Reginald Vaughn, who chose the Razorbacks over LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and many others.Vaughn, 6-2, 257, is a Composite four-star who ranks 36th nationally among all defensive line recruits for the Class of 2025, per 247Sports. He was recruited to Arkansas by defensive line coach Deke Adams, who has four other defensive linemen committed in this year's cycle.
In addition to his finalists, Vaughn's offer list also included Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Indiana and others. He's only taken one official visit thus far: to Arkansas on the weekend of June 21.
"This one sets the bar pretty high," Vaughn said following the visit. "Coach Adams and coach (Sam) Pittman, I feel like they're kind of like family. They're always just loving on me, so I have to love them back because it's just a lot of love at Arkansas.
"It did help Arkansas going forward. I just felt like it wasn't a script, like the coaches were just being themselves and that's what I want. For them to be themselves, that's what I want for them to be. You don't have to change for me. Just be how you always are."
Vaughn is Arkansas' third commitment of the week, as the Razorbacks landed Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback Nigel Pringle on Monday before securing Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve offensive lineman Lionel Prudhomme on Friday. With the addition of Vaughn, the Razorbacks' 2025 class moves from 29th to 26th nationally while overtaking South Carolina for 11th in the SEC.

Vaughn's services were wanted by several SEC programs, including Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida and Texas.
A native of Madison, Mississippi, Vaughn took several visits to Arkansas in the spring, capped off by his official visit the weekend of June 21.
The trenches have been a point of emphasis in the class of 2025 for the Razorbacks. Vaughn’s commitment marks the fourth on the defensive line, as he joins three-stars JaQuentin Madison, Caleb Bell and Trent Sellers.
With Vaughn's commitment, Arkansas now sits at 19 in the class of 2025, which includes three four-star recruits: Vaughn, quarterback Grayson Wilson and linebacker Tavion Wallace.

Arkansas is up to 20 commitments for the Class of 2025 after gaining a verbal pledge from East Mississippi Community College defensive back Shannon Blair on Saturday afternoon. Blair, a 6-1, 190-pound safety/cornerback who began his career at Tennessee, chose the Razorbacks over offers from Memphis, Liberty, Charlotte and others.Blair visited Fayetteville unofficially last Saturday for Arkansas' Hogwild Hangout, where he was hosted by lead recruiter Marcus Woodson. The Knoxville (Tenn.) native was a three-star recruit in 2022 when he signed with the hometown Volunteers over Michigan State, Duke, Wake Forest, Purdue and many others.
Blair is teammates with two of Arkansas' remaining targets for the 2025 class in edge rushers Rashod Bradley and Zavion Hardy, both of whom made official visit stops on The Hill in June. Blair is expected to officially join the Razorbacks in January.
After spending his first season at Tennessee, Blair made 23 tackles and 4 interceptions last season as a freshman at EMCC.
Arkansas has 19 commitments in the 2025 class, including nine on the offensive side in three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, three-star running back Markeylin Batton of Atlanta (Texas), three-star wide receiver Antonio Jordan, three-star wide receiver Kamare Williams of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Central, three-star offensive lineman Connor Howes of St. Could (Fla.), three-star offensive lineman Lionel Prudhomme of Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve, three-star offensive lineman Kash Courtney of Carthage (Texas), and three-star offensive lineman Blake Cherry of Owasso (Okla.).

Arkansas entered Wednesday with the nation's No. 27 overall class and the No. 11 class in the SEC for the 2025 cycle.

The Arkansas football team grabbed a commitment from the junior college ranks on Saturday, as East Mississippi Community College defensive back Shannon Blair announced his decision to join the Razorbacks.Blair — who will be enrolling at Arkansas in December and is a member of the 2025 class — made his decision public with a post on X (formerly Twitter).
A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Blair played in 13 games for EMCC last season and recorded 23 tackles and four interceptions.
Prior to his time in Mississippi, Blair had originally committed to Michigan State in the class of 2022 but ended up at Tennessee as a preferred walk-on. How he got there, according to an article from Knox News, is an interesting story.
Blair tore his ACL in the first game of his senior season for West High School, which caused FBS programs to back off of their original offers. After Michigan State defensive backs coach Travares Tillman left for Georgia Tech, Blair opted to reopen his recruitment, but none of his FBS offers remained.
So, he opted to stay home and enrolled at Tennessee.
After spending the 2022 season in Knoxville and not appearing in any games, Blair headed to EMCC and helped the Lions to a 10-3 record that ended with a loss to Iowa Western Community College in, ironically, War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
Blair is Arkansas’ 20th commit and the third defensive back in the class of 2025, which is currently ranked No. 28 nationally according to Rivals.

Arkansas added its fourth commitment of the day Saturday evening when Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Class of 2025 running back Cameron Settles went public with his college decision. Settles, 5-11, 195, chose the Razorbacks over Missouri, Arkansas State, Yale, Memphis and Tulsa to become the Razorbacks' 21st commitment for the Class of 2025.The three-star tailback was recruited to Fayetteville by first-year running backs coach Kolby Smith, who also has a verbal pledge from Atlanta (Texas) running back Markeylin Batton. Settles, a teammate of another Arkansas commit in Parkview quarterback Quentin Murphy, took an official visit on The Hill on the weekend of June 14 and returned last Saturday for Arkansas' Hogwild Hangout.
"Coach Smith is always a cool guy to be around," Settles said. "He's been real during my recruitment."

The Arkansas Razorbacks picked up their first running back commitment in the class of 2025 on Saturday, as Little Rock Parkview’s Cameron Settles announced his pledge to the Hogs. Settles chose the Razorbacks over offers from Missouri, Georgia Tech, SMU, Oregon State and others. As a junior, Settles helped Parkview to a perfect 15-0 record, capped off with an Arkansas 5A State Championship. He played both running back and defensive back for the Patriots, but he's expected to be on the offensive side of the ball at Arkansas.
Last season, the three-star ball carrier rushed for 979 yards and 20 touchdowns on 96 carries and defensively he made 33 tackles, deflected 10 passes and intercepted three.

Arkansas defensive line coach Deke Adams reeled in another massive commitment on Friday as four-star defensive tackle Kevin Oatis committed to the Hogs.Oatis, a 5.8 four-star recruit out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, chose Arkansas over a plethora of other offers, including Mississippi State, LSU, Texas A&M and many others.
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound prospect took his official visit to Arkansas the weekend of May 31. He told Rivals’ Mississippi State site, Bulldog Blitz, the Razorbacks pushed hard for his commitment.
“At first, I didn’t think about it being a top school,” Oatis said Aug. 16. “But when I went on my official visit, I just loved everything about the staff. With Coach Sam Pittman, that staff is clear. If he tells you something, it’s gonna happen. He never lies to any of his players. Coach Deke Adams has a great history of building great D-linemen, like Jadeveon Clowney. I just like how the staff, they’re real. They’re gonna tell you the truth, things you can work on and things that’s good.”
Oatis is the fifth defensive line prospect and third defensive tackle in the Razorbacks’ 2025 class, which is now up to 22 total commitments.
